👋Who we are
Paydeck is a freelance invoicing app built for UAE-based freelancers. It is developed and operated by Apex Mobile Labs ("we", "us", "our"). If you have any questions, contact us at support@paydeck.app.
📦What data we collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Account data — email address and display name when you sign in (email or Google)
- Invoice & client data — names, amounts, TRN numbers, and payment status you enter
- Expense data — amounts, categories, and receipt photos you upload
- Device data — crash reports and anonymous usage events via Firebase Crashlytics & Analytics
- Subscription data — purchase receipts managed by Google Play or Apple App Store
We do not collect location data, contacts, microphone, or camera data beyond receipt photos you explicitly upload.
🔒How we use your data
- Provide, operate, and improve the app
- Sync your data across devices (Pro subscribers only, via Firebase Firestore)
- Send push notifications for overdue invoices and payment alerts (with your permission)
- Respond to support requests
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
We never use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
☁️Where data is stored
Free users: All data is stored locally on your device using Hive (encrypted local database). Nothing leaves your device.
Pro users: Data is synced to Firebase Firestore (Google Cloud, EU/US regions) when cloud sync is enabled. You can disable sync at any time in Settings.
Firebase services used: Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, Analytics.
🤝Third-party services
The following third parties process data on our behalf:
- Google Firebase — Authentication, database, push notifications, crash reporting
- Telr — Payment processing for online invoice payments (Pro)
- Google Play / Apple App Store — Subscription billing
- WhatsApp — Used to send invoice links when you tap "Send via WhatsApp" (opens WhatsApp on your device; we do not access your WhatsApp account)
🗑️Data retention & deletion
Your local data is deleted when you uninstall the app or use "Delete All Data" in Settings.
For Pro users, cloud data is deleted within 30 days of account deletion. To delete your account, go to Settings → Delete Account or email support@paydeck.app.
👶Children's privacy
Paydeck is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
🇦🇪UAE data protection
We comply with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL). You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data at any time.
✏️Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
